I spent my entire childhood in a small village called Gipf-Oberfrick in Switzerland and graduated school there. School was never something I liked, because I didn’t like to learn things that I wasn’t interested in. I bought my first Camera when I was 12 years old, it was a Canon Ixus 80 IS. I really liked photography but I never thought about actually being a photographer some time. I was also interested in technology so I thought the best for me is to start as a computer scientist. I still work as an IT-Engineer but I really miss the creative part in this job.

Everything started when I went on a trip to Thailand and started to share photos on Instagram. I got a lot of great feedback and gained a lot of followers in a short period of time. Because of the good feedback I shared some old travel pictures on my Instagram gallery and it went nuts. A big Instagramer reposted a photo and overnight I had like 5000 Followers. Because of my job I had no time to travel around and I stopped photographing. One Year ago I got tired of my job and started to photograph again. I hope one day I can work as a photographer as full time job.

The photo of me on the top totally describes my life. On the right site is my daily life as an IT-Engineer. Everything is gray – it’s just about technology, sell solutions, make money, success, business, etc… The right site is my creative life. Sharing my passion, start creating, being creative, traveling, enjoying life. Life is too short to do what others expect from you – I don’t make a lot of money with my photography but I really love what I do.

My Dream is to start a journey just with a backpack and my camera. I would not mind traveling alone. When you are on the road alone you don’t get distracted by others. You have time to think about your life, enjoy the landscapes and find the right spot to take a nice photo. Sometimes it’s so relaxing just to stay at one place and waiting for the perfect light to get an excellent photo. Sure if the girl of my dreams would like to join me – why not. In my opinion everyone should make this experience to travel alone.

One of my favorite place on earth is Brazil. It’s one of the world’s most charming place. A stunning country of powdery white-sand beaches, rain forests and wild, rhythm-filled metropolises. I have seen towns that are frozen-in-time like Buzios, wonderful landscapes in Rio de Janeiro, the thundering waterfalls of Iguazú and peaceful tropical islands like Jericoacoara. Brazil’s has an awesome biodiversity: You can drive for 10km and the landscape change magically. Legendary in scope, it has the greatest collection of plant and animal species found anywhere on earth.

Currently I am on the road with the Canon EOS 700D and Canon G7X – Following the motto; the best camera is the one you have with you. Sure I would like to have a better camera like the Canon EOS 5D Mark III but it’s too expensive for me and as well too heavy to travel around the world. It really doesn’t matter which camera you own. The Smartphone in your pocket can create awesome photos as well. The most important thing is, you need good light and the eye for a great shot.

I am French. I was born in Paris and studied secretary first. I immediately started to work as an assistant after having passed my exam at the age of 19. It was not my original choice and not corresponding to my personality. I would have loved to integrate prestigious Art School in Paris such as : L’école des Beaux Arts, L’école des Arts décoratifs, L’école de cinéma La Fémis… but I though I would have been not accepted or not able to do it. At that time I was so shy and with a terrible lack of confidence.

But my job as a secretery was so boring that I decided severals years later to go back to school. I joined the University Vincennes-/Saint-Denis, named « Paris VIII », located outside of Paris. In those days, the teaching was innovative and the studies totally new with different departments such as „city planning“, „visual arts“, „artificial intelligence“, „cinema“… The most important feature was that they’ve accepted people without diploma and people who already had learned a profession. That was actually my case so I took the opportunity and followed evening classes to study cinema. Weiterlesen

Everyone finds their passion by accident or through a strange chain of events. Some find it early and prosper, while others would have to cross many bumps before realizing that this is what they want to do. I was blessed with an amazing mother that nurtured my love for everything artistic and true, be it photography, music, films, fashion or dance. I was never limited to anything and that’s where my love for people started. Every piece of art is linked to an individual that has reached beyond their soul to share with you a part of themselves.

You could say I’m one of the lucky ones, from a very young age I knew that I was born to entertain. Regardless of the stage, I was always excited to find ways to make people happy and this is how my story telling journey began. I would use music, pictures, words and actions to form some sort of narrative that would entice you. Weiterlesen

I started to photograph kind of late…only in the last year of my master degree studies. Before I didn’t have any idea that I might be good in that. I always liked fashion, especially magazines about fashion. I was always thinking I like them because they are pretty and because of the clothes…but I realised that I love them because of the photos itself.

During my studies I had a few projects in editorial design class where the teacher expected me to implement photographs in my design work. I started to like it a bit.
It was far away from creating professionally looking images. I was taking photos of my friends. I did make-up, styling, hair, set-design all by myself and took photos in my flat with natural light only. Weiterlesen
